Toyota Aichi 豊田市

In Japan i will be in Toyota Aichi 豊田市 for 12days. This will be my 2nd time in Toyota Aichi since 1996. This city is full or Toyota and Lexus, is the main city where produce Toyata cars in Japan.
The town of Koromo (挙母市), the predecessor of present day Toyota, was a major producer of silk, and prospered in the Mikawa Region from the Meiji Era through the Taisho period. As the demand for raw silk declined in Japan and abroad, the town entered a period of gradual decline. That decline encouraged Kiichiro Toyoda, cousin of Eiji Toyoda, to look for manufacturing alternatives to the family's automatic loom manufacturing business. This in turn led to the founding of what became the Toyota Motor Corporation.
The town gained city status on March 1, 1951. The town changed its name to Toyota in 1959 and became the sister city of another automotive industry headquarters, Detroit, Michigan, one year later. Toyota-shi is also twinned with the County of Derbyshire, England.
On March 25, 2005, Expo 2005 opened with its main site being in Nagakute and additional activity in Seto and Toyota. The expo continued until September 25, 2005.

Char Aznable x Softbank

Softbank Mobile has made annoucement for the release of 913SH G-Type Char cellphone. It basically has the same function as the previous 913SH slider model, except that this model comes pre-installed with Sunrise & Sotsu Agency-supervised content (such as Char quotes & sound FX) and a design collaborated on by Bandai. It comes with a 1/12 Char’s Zaku head charging stand that, which you can open it up and place the phone inside, to display a monoeye screensaver that moves from one side to another randomly. If one gets bored with the monoeye screensaver, just flick a switch to watch TV instead as the phone has a digital one-seg TV built in.

Apart from the usual camera, internet browsers, 1GB of internal memory and also comes with pre-recorded Char phrases.

Scheduled to go on sale in coming December. Currently, there’s another 20 more days till it start accepting pre-orders. Would love to made a purchase on this if this could support GSM network, from what I know Japan phone network seems to be running on CDMA

Some professional modeller even repaint the Zaku head. It is a super cool gadget to have.... Is Japan 2007 coolest stuff.

Char’s Zaku head charging stand with hatch opened. Zaku head charging stand closed with mono-eye screensaver activated.

Wagashi わがし

Thanks to Angeline to reminds me to buy some Wagashi when i go Japan trip. Wagashi is a traditional sweets food in Japan. Wagashi have 5 types; Namagashi (beautiful crafted with theme sweets), Yokan ( Jelly type sweets), Monaka ( Filling in middle like sandwich type) , Manju (Steamed bun type) and Higashi (Dried sweets). Japanese normally serve Wagashi during the Japanese Cha-do (Green Tea Ceremony). Due to the bitterness of the tea, eating Wagashi will sweeten the mouth. All the Wagashi is crafted with a concept, so eating the wagashi is not only about the taste but also the art.

Ah Beng with no taste!

Last week, i went KL with Uncle Lim to meet a client in Concorde Hotel. In the parking bay, i saw this Black Civic with a F**king ugly Honda badge on it's bonnet. I think the owner have treat his Honda as a Rolls Royce. I cannot tahan and take out my K750i to snap some photos.... and share it in my blog..... So Jason Tiew... don't do that with your Black Civic.

Reach the 100,000 marks

Only 4 years, my Kenari finally hits the 100,000 km. MY Kenari must be very tired. I wander when will hit the 200,000 km? By the time it hits 200,000 km. i think the car can throw oredi. So far, i think my Kenari is very reliable and very nice to drive car. I am happy with it and no regret buying it. Hahahahah........
