Thanks to Angeline to reminds me to buy some Wagashi when i go Japan trip. Wagashi is a traditional sweets food in Japan. Wagashi have 5 types; Namagashi (beautiful crafted with theme sweets), Yokan ( Jelly type sweets), Monaka ( Filling in middle like sandwich type) , Manju (Steamed bun type) and Higashi (Dried sweets). Japanese normally serve Wagashi during the Japanese Cha-do (Green Tea Ceremony). Due to the bitterness of the tea, eating Wagashi will sweeten the mouth. All the Wagashi is crafted with a concept, so eating the wagashi is not only about the taste but also the art. Namagashi Yokan Monaka Manju Higashi Short clip of Wagashi
